Dubai - WAM
The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) has decided to extend the deadline for receiving nominations for the Emirates Energy Award 2013 (EEA) until July 10th, in order to allow candidates to benefit from an additional period of time to submit nominations and get the required details. The Council has also implemented a promotional tour to give briefs on the Award in both Jordan and Qatar. This comes as part of its promotional plan in the Middle East and North Africa. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of DSCE, said that organising promotional tours in the Middle East and North Africa aims to attract the largest possible number of Arab experiences and ideas in the field of renewable and alternative energy through the Award. He added that the Emirates Energy Award is a platform for creativity and innovation in general and renewable energy in particular, where the Award will provide the opportunity for candidates to show their expertise and innovation in various energy fields. Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, DSCE Secretary-General, said that after the overwhelming response to the Award through inquiries for participation during the tour, the Council decided to extend the application period.
