Cairo - MENA
Egypt holds 15 to 17 trillion cubic feet of proven stranded natural gas, an official at Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) said on Wednesday.
During a roundtable discussion with representatives of international oil companies working in Egypt, Mahfouz el-Boni said that most of the stranded natural gas is in the Mediterranean.
The foreign partners, for their part, asked the Petroleum Ministry to show more flexibility in amending some terms of gas and oil agreements.
They also asked for more facilitation for pumping gas.
