Cairo - MENA
Egypt's energy expert Tarek Heggy has called for exerting further efforts to attract global companies to pump their investments in exploration projects in Egypt.
"Attracting global companies to explore petroleum and natural gas is a challenge that we should overcome," Heggy said during an economic conference hosted by state-run Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper.
Heggy praised a move taken by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to gradually lift subsidy on fuels.
"He (Sisi) took a bold step," he said.
