Former Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Motelib

Egypt and South Korea signed Monday, on the sidelines of the World Water Forum held in the Asian country, a cooperation agreement.

The agreement will include implementing joint programs with Korea in the fields of water, protecting beaches and developing the drainage networks.

Former irrigation minister Mohamed Abdel Motelib, who is heading the Egyptian delegation to the event on behalf of the Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi, said after the signing ceremony that the agreement represents a new phase of joint cooperation which comes upon directives by the Egyptian government to establish strategic partnership between the two countries in the economic and developmental fields.
