The Cabinet, under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, approved Wednesday a presidential draft law regulating the electricity sector, and sent it to the State Council for revision.
Under the law, an independent entity for the transmission of electricity will be established to help improve the service provided and open up the electricity market before the private sector.
