Iraqi security forces aborted Tuesday an attack by Daesh militants against Baiji oil refinery in Saladin Province's city of Tikrit, security source said.
The refinery is presently fully under the control of the security forces, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added.
Daesh militant group has captured swaths of Syria and Iraq and urged its followers to attack citizens of various countries.
