Amman - MENA
A Jordanian source Friday said his government needs to thoroughly consider Tehran\'s offer to supply Amman with free oil, energy for 30 years. Tehrans ambassador to Jordan, Mostafa Mosleh- Zadeh made the offer on Wednesday. In statements to Jordan\'s Al-Arab Al-Yom newspaper, the government source made it clear that in international diplomacy there is no such thing as a state offering something to another for free. Amman will deal with the proposition taking into consideration its best interests. \"This is a noble stance ... we thank Iran for the offer that comes in light of [critical] economic conditions,\" the source said, adding however that Amman should also weigh its relations with the Arab Gulf, America and Europe, as well as Jordan\'s future interests.
