Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mohammad Hamid, on Wednesday, discussed with U.S. State Department’s acting special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs, Amos Hochstein, means to cement cooperation between the U.S. and Jordan in the energy domain.
The minister highlighted major energy challenges facing Jordan and ways to address them, especially after Egyptian natural gas supplies to Jordan came to a halt in April forcing the Kingdom to resort to the much costlier heavy fuel.
