Jordanian nuclear research reactor

A 130-million nuclear research reactor, which is being built near Jordan's northern Irbid governorate, will be completed and start trial operation by the end of 2015, Jordan's top nuclear official said.
Eighty percent of the construction work of the reactor, which is being built at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, has been completed, Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Khaled Toukan told lawmakers.
He added that the reactor will be ready by the end of this year and will enter a six-month trial period afterwards.
