KEPCO Plant Service and Engineering Co. (KPS), a unit of Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO), said Wednesday that it has won a 190 billion won about (US$177.3 million) order from an Indian company to operate and repair a thermal power plant.The order was placed by Bhavnagar Energy Company Ltd. (BECL), a company under the control of the state government of Gujarat, India, the company said.The South Korean industrial plant builder said it will run and maintain the thermal power plant, which has a generation capacity of 500 megawatts, for 15 years from 2015, according to South Korea’s (Yonhap) News Agency.KEPCO KPS currently operates and maintains 13 power plants in foreign countries including India, Jordan, Madagascar and Pakistan.
