Ma'rib power plant broke down Friday after it was hit by mortar shells amid fierce clashes in the governorate.
Ma'rib governorate is witnessing fierce skirmishes between the Yemeni army and tribes on one side and Houthis militia on the other, to thwart an attempt by the militiamen to enter Ma'rib.
This is the second time in five days for the power plant to be hit by shells.
The army escorted some technicians to fix the plant under their protection.
