Cairo - MENA
Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail has said new discoveries in the Western Desert will be revealed soon, noting that the upcoming period will witness the return of petroleum services companies.
Egypt currently produces about four million tons of petrochemicals, which needs to be manufactured instead of importing, to increase the value-added, the minister said following opening the International Conference on Mediterranean Countries on Tuesday.
The three-day conference is held under the rubric "Exploring Mediterranean Sea capabilities of petroleum and gas"
