Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Sunday met with Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker to review the ministry'S plan for the next summer.
The minister said a permanent committee of the Electricity Holding Company was formed to ascertain the extent of compliance with the approved rules to confront power thefts.
Joint campaigns have been implemented to reduce electricity theft, he noted.
The power supply will be cut for unpaid subscribers after several-time warnings, the minister stressed.
The minister added that Egypt's Electricity Holding Company has launched an international tender for the supply of 10 million (LED) lamps in various capacities.
Shaker also said that four power stations are currently being developed, while the Ministry is taking urgent measures to address the network problems before the next summer.
