Cairo - MENA
The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company has announced that a power pylon in Fayyoum has been attacked by rioters on Monday.
The act has caused a limited power outage in a number of villages of the Upper Egyptian province, said Jaber Desouki, head of the company.
He said the company has been looking for alternative power sources to restore power in all villages in the city.
The pylon will be repaired within two weeks with a cost hitting one million pounds, he added.
