A number of unidentified persons have bombed an electricity tower at the entrance to Fares village on Aswan-Cairo desert road.

Three makeshift bombs went off causing a blackout in a number of areas in Kalabsha city in Aswan.

The blast caused damage to the tower.

Sappers were able to detect a fourth bomb and are acting to defuse it.

The hunt is on for the perpetrators.
