A power tower in the delta city of Zagazig has been sabotaged, a senior official said Monday.
Maintenance teams are working to fix the damage, said chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) Ahmed el-Hanafi, assuring electric voltage has not been reduced as a result.
Fixing the power tower is estimated to cost some one million pounds, Hanafi noted.
