Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill A. Dmitriev on Monday said the fund considers participating in funding the establishment of Egypt's planned nuclear power plant.

On February, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin signed an agreement for Russia to construct a nuclear power plant to generate electricity in Egypt.

Dmitriyev stressed the importance of the project for the RDIF although its small percentage of possible participation in the project.

Other companies in the field of energy want to participate in the implementation of project in Egypt, he added.
