A power tower in Basous collapsed early Wednesday after a bomb exploded.

A statement by the Electricity Ministry said another power tower was targeted in Banha.

Workers at the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company also detected bombs that were planted under a power tower in Abgig village in Fayyoum.

Sappers rushed to the scene and were able to defuse the explosive charges.
