Research investigating new forms of energy for homes is underway in Trento, northern Italy. The Fondazione Bruno Kessler will coordinate the European project considering ways of storing hydrogen for use as an energy source, in homes and other types of buildings. The research will be undertaken along with six other European partners. Attempts will be made to find secure methods of storing hydrogen gas, and how to integrate it with other forms of renewable energy, including solar and wind power. \"In the medium and long term, storage systems especially for small-scale solutions will be key for the introduction and dissemination of sustainable technologies powered by renewable sources,\" said Luigi Crema, project coordinator.
