Turkey\'s electricity consumption rose by 7.4 percent in May 2012 over to the same month of 2011. According to data by Turkey Electricity Transmission Company (TEIAS), electricity generation increased by 6.7 percent to 18.6 billion kWh in May 2012 compared to the same month of 2011. Electricity generation rose by 8 percent to 98.8 billion kWh year-on-year in the period between January and May 2012.
