The UAE is carrying out a solar energy project in Siwa, which will be finalized at the end of this year.
The Coordination Office of UAE-funded Development Projects organized a visit on Sunday for a number of correspondents and reporters of newspapers and news agencies to the project.
The production capacity of the project stands at 10 megawatts and it will be linked with the national grid to provide Siwa with electric power.
The project will meet the electricity needs of more than 6,000 houses and public facilities.
