A solar power station is being established in northern Nouakchott at a capacity of 15 megawatts with a UAE grant, worth 30 million dollars. Mauritanian Energy Minister Taleb Ould Abdi is following up the establishment of new plant which is financed by a grant, offered by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan. The station will supply Mauritania with energy for 20 years, according to Mauritanian officials.
