US President Barack Obama\'s administration on Friday rolled out tough proposals to put strict limits on the amount of carbon pollution emitted by new coal power plants. The Environmental Protection Agency said the proposed regulations would ensure new plants were built with clean technology and help to combat climate change and protect public health, dpa reported. The move would put in place the first nationwide limits on carbon emissions. Such standards are already in place in some of the nation\'s 50 states.
