Manama - BNA
The Director of Meteorological Directorate, Adel Daham, said that the Kingdom of Bahrain's weather is expected to be dry and dusty during Eid al-Fitr days.
Daham said that this dry, dusty weather will be due to the effect of northwesterly winds in the upcoming days. Northwesterly winds will transform from moderate to speedy during the daytime.
He told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the velocity of northwesterly winds blowing over the Kingdom will increase as from Monday to become active, strong, dusty with rising sand sometimes during the daytime. This will continue until the following weekend when winds speeds gradually slow down. He pointed out that the Directorate advises seafarers to take the necessary precaution during that period of time.
He said that the Kingdom's weather will be mainly moderate due to active, strong northwesterly winds during the daytime and moderate at night which lead to notable drop in humidity as temperatures go back to the normal averages of this month.
He said that the region will come under the impact of a low seasonal mass of northwesterly winds - aka the "Al-Bareh" - that blows and stirs dusty and sand particles from southern Iraq and northern parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He said that these winds will mainly result in good weather conditions and lesser humidity especially at night.
