Beijing - XINHUA
Most part of China will see snowfall and temperature drop in the next two days due to the arrival of a strong cold front, the meteorological authorities said on Saturday.
China's northern part including Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Hebei will be the first to experience temperature drops, which will hit southern areas later as cold air moves southwards, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.
Some regions of northeast China's Jilin and Liaoning will see temperature down by up to 14 degrees Celsius.
In the next 48 hours, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia will see mild snowfall, while northeast China's Jilin and Heilongjiang will be hit by heavy snow with blizzards in some areas.
The NMC forecast smog that has lingered in north China will be gradually dispersed by the cold front starting Sunday.
