Temperatures are likely to drop slightly across the country as cold north-westerly winds are expected to blow over the Arabian Sea reaching coastal and some internal areas. Forecasters said fresh north-westerly winds have been blowing over the sea since Saturday evening. The sea is moderately rough due to the windy conditions. The wind is mostly concentrated in the western region of Abu Dhabi Emirate, but it may reach the coastal areas of Dubai as well. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said the weather today will be partly cloudy in general. The amount of cloud will increase at times over some northern and eastern emirates. This could also lead to a slight drop in temperature in these areas. No major change Forecasters said it was typical weather for December and no major change was expected. Daytime conditions will be pleasant, but the nights will be cooler and uncomfortable in desert and mountainous regions. The NCMS said relative humidity is likely to increase in some internal areas at night and early in the morning. It has also asked people to be careful in case of late night and early morning fog. The weather is likely to be similar tomorrow but conditions could get slightly hazy at times in some areas. The Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman may be rough and people in fishing trawlers and small boats should take care.
