Icy road conditions are believed to be the cause of several crashes on Saturday.Mid and West Wales fire and rescue said they were called to a spate of minor crashes in treacherous conditions.First Group said some bus services were affected in Carmarthenshire and around Swansea due to black ice.North Wales Police said there were a couple of minor crashes in the south Gwynedd area.They warned motorists across north Wales to take care on the roads.In south Wales, a woman was cut free from her car by firefighters after it overturned in Creigiau, near Cardiff, on Saturday morning.Traffic was moving again on the A55 in Denbighshire after earlier delays on Friday.The eastbound carriageway was briefly closed at Rhuallt Hill due to snowfall on Friday morning.The road reopened at 11:30 GMT on Friday but long queues continued throughout the day.The Met Office forecast a chance of scattered sleet or snow inland on Saturday, especially over hills.It was expected to remain cold overnight into Sunday with a widespread frost and icy stretches developing.Scattered wintry showers will continue in many areas, but should become less frequent by morning.
