Al Ain - Arabstoday
The sweltering hot weather is expected to become windy and dusty on Wednesday, with a slight drop in temperature as northwesterly winds are expected to sweep in. The winds would be dust-laden and the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned people to be aware of rough sea, suspended dust, and poor visibility in most of the western and central part of the emirates. Windy and dusty conditions are expected in major towns and cities along the country’s western seafront from Sila to Ajman. People with breathing difficulties and dust allergy are advised to take precautions, while fishermen and joyriders are asked to beware of rough waters in the Arabian Gulf. According to the NCMS, the weather will grow hazy and partly cloudy over northern and eastern areas. Fresh northwesterly winds will start by morning in the western region of Abu Dhabi and the UAE islands in the Arabian Gulf. By evening, winds which are kicking up dust over a wide area from Iraq, Kuwait, and Eastern Saudi Arabia will extend to cover most of the country. Temperatures are likely to be in the range of 43 to 47 degrees Celsius across the country, with a varied level of humidity in the coastal and mountainous areas.
