Now that Mercedes has unveiled the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe and spy shots of the sedan version have surfaced, it’s only natural that a convertible Black Series will follow suit. This won’t happen until the C-Class Convertible official debuts in 2014, of course, but we have strong hopes that we’ll see it sooner rather than later. The convertible C63 AMG Black Series will share the same 6.2-liter V8 engine found in the coupe and sedan versions, delivering 510 HP and 457 lb-ft of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph will be made in 4.2 seconds, while top speed will be limited to 155 mph.For the exterior, the convertible will get a big deep front spoiler and wider fenders, while the interior will benefit from AMG sports bucket seats, black Dinamica microfiber upholstery on the center panels of the seats and doors, and an AMG performance steering wheel. It is believed that the convertible will drop the rear spoiler.
