Ford might not be the king of the hill in China, but their sales increases are steady and impressive nevertheless. During the month of April, Ford China received 54,881 new orders from customers, an improvement of 24 percent over the same month a year ago. To blame for this is the all-new Focus, which topped 9,400 in its first few weeks on sales last month. Ford’s passenger car partner Changan Ford Mazda Automotive Ltd. (CFMA) launched the all new Focus, after they began production at a new facility and announced pricing would start from RMB 119,900 (USD19,000) at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. ”The all new Ford Focus is a winner on so many levels,” said Dave Schoch, chairman and CEO of Ford China. “It is dynamic and sporty inside and out, it is loaded with new technology including Mandarin voice-recognition connectivity, it gets great fuel economy, it is one of the safest vehicles on the road, and it is priced to offer incredible value for money. We are delighted to add the new Focus to our lineup in China and look forward to bringing more great vehicles to Chinese customers that they want and value.”
