The UAE Ministry of Economy has started recall of 8,730 cars, including two models of Nissan and two models of Infiniti, from the UAE market, Gulf News has learnt. Owners of Nissan JUKE 2012, and Patrol 2011-2012 as well as two models of Infiniti QX56 2011-2012 and M 2012-20 should register with the respective dealers in the emirates to check their cars and fix the potential problem, Dr. Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director of Consumer Protection Department, Ministry of Economy, told Gulf News. Al Nuaimi added that the ministry contacted the dealers after Nissan recalled 250,000 vehicles worldwide because of a defected pressure sensor that may cause fuel leak. In coordination with the Ministry of Economy, Nissan and Infiniti dealerships is launching a service campaign to check up and fix the potential deficiency in these models. Moreover, the Ministry of Economy is coordinating with the dealerships to withdraw 2,910 Porsche Cayenne SUVs from the UAE market. \"Among these cars there are 1,810 vehicles that belong to Al Naboodah Motors and 1,100 cars from Ali & Sons Group. The vehicles were built for the model years 2011 and 2012 and made sometime between March 2010 and January 2012\" Porsche AG is recalling nearly 102,000 of its top-selling Cayenne SUVs worldwide to fix a potential problem that could result in a headlight coming loose or falling off.
