Chrysler said on Monday that it will begin installing wireless phone-charging pads in its cars. The 2013 Dodge Dart will be the first that offers the option, for the price of $200. “At Mopar, we look for every single opportunity to make our customers\' lives easier,” said Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of Mopar. “Our industry-first in-vehicle wireless charging system is the perfect solution for those connected customers who are always on the go.” The charger will come in the form of a bin in the center console. It will measure 8.27 inches by 9.5 inches and will be activated when the vehicle is started. A phone case, designed for the system and compatible with a variety of smartphones, is also included. The wireless charging pad combined with the available Uconnect system allows for a completely wireless connection between car and phone. Now, if Mopar could figure out a way to automatically call Mom just to say you miss her, we\'d really in business.
