Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi extended congratulations to Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa on his qualification for the IRONMAN World Championship, which will be held in Hawaii in October 2018.
HH Shaikh Nasser was able to qualify for the international event after winning first place in the IRONMAN Middle East Amateur Championship which was hosted by Bahrain from November 23 to 25.

The minister said that HH Shaikh Nasser’s deserved victory in the world championship reflects Bahrain’s strides and ability to compete at different international championships.

He commended the outstanding organisation of the championship which reflects the ability of the Kingdom of Bahrain to host and organise high-profile world sporting events, paying tribute to HH Shaikh Nasser for his arduous training ahead of the championship.

He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his support which had a positive impact, earning Bahrain landmark achievements and championships.

He commended the Government, hailing its keenness on promoting youth and providing all sport facilities as part of its development projects and programmes.
