Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today participated in the opening ceremony of the 14th Gulf Radio and Television Festival inaugurated by
Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi, in the presence of a number of GCC ministers, ambassadors and heads of radio and television bodies.
Gulf Radio and Television Corporation (GRTC) in cooperation with the Information Affairs Ministry organized the festival.
GCC Sec-Gen praised the festival organizational level that highlights the GCC efforts in media field.
He said the festival reflects the GCC information ministries' keenness to uplift the GCC radio and television production, pointing the role of media, radio and television in promoting GCC development march.
He expressed appreciation of the efforts exerted by the information ministry and Gulf Radio and TV in organizing the event in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the fourteenth consecutive year.
