The National Media Council, NMC, has discussed the Council's media and organisational role in the field of bolstering media legislations in the country. This came during the visit of a delegation from the NMC to the Al Watan Newspaper in Abu Dhabi, which was organised in the light of NMC delegation tours of media institutions and national media. It comes also within the implementation of the Council's approved plan in its first session of the Government Innovation Laboratory. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Shamiri, General Manager and Executive Editor at Al-Watan, welcomed the delegation, emphasising that Al Watan belongs to the homeland and the citizens. The NMC delegation included Jamal Nasser Al Suwaider, WAM's Executive Director, Alia Hassan Al Yasi, Director of the Department of Governmental Communication at NMC, and other officials.
