Bahrain TV has today celebrated the 88th anniversary of the establishment of Saudi Arabia at the hands of the founding monarch late King Abdulaziz.
The national channel aired live programmes, documentaries and Saudi patriotic songs as part of festivities marking the 88th National Day.
The celebration epitomises deep-rooted fraternal and historic relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
Information Affairs Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and TV Abdulla Al-Dosari outlined the TV programmes and Saudi patriotic songs to be aired on Bahrain TV on this occasion.
In a statement to Al-Hayat daily newspaper in today’s issue, he hailed deep-rooted historic relations binding the two brotherly countries and peoples, lauding long-standing ties in all fields.
Saudi TV presenters also took part in the programmes which hosted officials and citizens from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to an open day showcasing documentaries and songs.
