Disney picked up yet another live-action project as it aims to remake 1963's animated comedy The Sword in the Stone.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Game of Thrones writer Bryan Gogman is set to write the script for the upcoming remake, joining similar projects for Mulan, Aladdin and Dumbo.
The Sword in the Stone follows the story of a young, fumbling King Arthur as he is mentored by the whimsical sorcerer Merlin. Disney's version is loosely based on the novel by T.H. White, first published in 1938. White also penned the fantasy The Once and Future King.
Tomorrowland and The Sorcerer's Apprentice producer Brigham Taylor will back the film. THR reports he is also behind the live-action version of Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book.
