USA Network says it has ordered a 16-episode, sixth season of its legal drama series Suits.
"Suits has set the bar high in every way and continues to be a strong performer and marquee property for USA," Chris McCumber, the cable TV network's president, said in a statement. "From the incredible, on-screen performances and brilliant writing to the aspirational lifestyle portrayed, we look forward to continuing to bring viewers into the world of Suits every week."
"Suits has delivered a smart and sexy roller-coaster ride for five seasons," added Jeff Wachtel, chief content officer of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and president of Universal Cable Productions. "Aaron Korsh has some great surprises for the audience at the end of Season 5 that should really set future seasons on an exciting new course."
Suits follows the work of Manhattan legal eagle Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht. The show's cast also includes Patrick J. Adams, Gina Torres, Meghan Markle and Rick Hoffman.
