The New Delhi-based Knowledge Resource Development and Welfare Group (KRDWG) honored three teachers at the International Indian School (IIS)-Jubail’s special care section for their laudatory services to society. Ameena Ambareen, Saira Oommen and Blessy Jos were presented with the Educational Excellence Award at a special function at IIT-Delhi recently. Besides the awards, KRDWG presented a latest version of iPad for the school’s special care section. Jubail Indian School’s well-managed special care section caters to the needs of children with different challenges.  “The section was started in 2004 as part of the school’s all-inclusive education initiative,” said IIS-Jubail Chairman Ahmad Khan. “This is an honor for the school and the Indian community in Jubail and elsewhere.” The award-winning teachers also were invited to attend the conference on “Inclusive and Quality Driven Holistic Education in Secondary and Vocational Institutions.” Principal Syed Hameed praised the role of his teachers and congratulated them. “Their efforts have made all of us proud,” he said. “They are highly committed, motivated and devoted members of our team.” The International Indian School-Dammam with 16,000 students, International Indian School-Jeddah with 12,000 students, International Indian School-Riyadh with 9,000 students and International Indian School-Jubail with 6,000 students are among the largest and oldest community-run institutions in the Kingdom.
