As part of its role in boosting community partnership and public safety awareness, the Directorate of Civil Defense (DCD) received a group of schoolgirls partaking at the summertime activities for officers daughters for the year 2013 in cooperation and coordination with the Sports Association of the Public Security. During their visit, the students were briefed on important safety guidelines, awareness and safe methods to respond to everyday domestic accidents. The students also participated in a lecture titled (Safety at Home), comprising various themes namely: an introduction to the Civil Defense, its duties and services to citizens and residents. The participants visited the Civil Defense Center in Manama where they were briefed about Civil Defense equipment and machinery. Towards conclusion of their visit, the students participated in preliminary field training drills on firefighting.
