Tehran - Arabstoday
A group of Iranian students have gathered in the capital city of Tehran to denounce repressive violence against peaceful anti-regime protesters in Bahrain. The students converged in front of the United Nations office in Tehran on Monday afternoon, Fars News Agency reported. Iranian students also shouted slogans against Saudi Arabia for meddling in the internal affairs of Bahrain and the presence of Saudi troops in the country to help crack down on protesters. Demonstrators also called on the international community to break the silence over the brutal incidents in Bahrain. Bahraini protesters have taken to the streets across the country since the beginning of the revolution in February 2011. Regime forces attack protesters in the kingdom, leaving scores of people dead and many more injured. Last week, the 36-year-old Salah Abbas Habib was killed by Bahraini forces. Bahraini activists said he was the ninth victim killed by regime forces since March 17, 2012.
