The resignation of Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Ahmad Al-Mulaifi has been accepted, the cabinet said. A decree has been consequently issued handpicking Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdulmohsen Al-Madaj as acting minister of education and minister of higher education, the cabinet said during a weekly meeting on Monday. The causes of the minister's resignation was mentioned in his letter presented to the cabinet, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Justice Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said in news statements following the meeting.
