School books cost the state EGP 3.1 billion annually, so the alternative will be uploading the books on the iPad, said Education Minister Ibrahim Ghoneim. The new iPad system has been in trial now in 29 schools, Ghoneim said while opening a number of new schools in Beni Suef on Sunday. Strict penalties will be effective as of next school year on private tutors, he said.
