The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) Head Mahmoud Sakr underlined that there will be cooperation during the coming phase between Egypt and Belarus in vital domains such as water desalination, smart fertilizers, agriculture and electronics.

Sakr's remarks came after the opening of a workshop on modern researches and invention in Egypt and Belarus.

The workshop was attended also by the Deputy Head of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik.

Sakr underscored that there has been scientific cooperation between Egypt and Belarus over 15 years, adding that after organizing the workshop some agreements will be signed to implement giant projects with the east European country.

The Egyptian official reiterated that the academy adopts now a strategy which depends on activating cooperation with the countries of the former Soviet Union.
