HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, received the researcher Noor Al-Huda Nader Al-Jalas, who dedicated him her Master’s thesis research entitled "Exploring Non-Governmental Organisations’ Performance Management: Bahrain Athletics Association as a Case Study".
The study includes a deep discussion of the performance management of the association in 2012-2016 under the presidency of HH Shaikh Khalid, which realised a qualitative leap in the sport of Bahraini athletics through the contribution of many continental and international achievements, most notably the gold medal in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the summer of 2016.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa commended the efforts exerted by the researcher in the preparation of this valuable thesis, which provides a scientific study of the performance management of the Bahrain Athletics Association and clear indications of the factors that contributed to the success of its administrative system during the period studied by the researcher.
HH expressed his pride in this distinguished research work, which contributes to the advancement of the administrative system not only at the level of the association but also at the level of the sports sector, thereby increasing the efforts exerted to promote the sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
For her part, the researcher Noor expressed her thanks and great gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain in the blessed era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, has been sponsoring, supporting and embracing researchers, and such backing have contributed to them reaching the highest levels in order to participate in building a bright future for the Kingdom.
