Minister for Education Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami has announced that the current system under which the salaries of teachers for July and August (summer vacation) is paid with June’s salary is over and will be replaced by a new system in which the salary of each month will be paid separately. The new system is an unprecedented step taken by the Ministry of Education in co-operation with the Ministry of Finance, which has exerted strenuous efforts to finalise all the procedures and issues related to the monthly payments of salaries during the summer vacation with the aim of achieving better financial and social stability for teachers, he said. The initiative is a link in the chain of incentives approved by the ministry for the benefit of teachers, he added, stressing the ministry’s keenness to improve the financial and living conditions of the administrative and teaching staff and providing the work environment that would enable them to upgrade their performance.
