Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi affirmed that the Ministry of Education allocates great importance to sports activities, because of their role in highlighting the students' talents, pointing out that these activities are an integral component of the school day and has a positive impact on communication and national cohesion among the participating students.
This came as the Minister received the schools who won the Minister of Education's cup for Sports Excellence, where the Minister pointed out that 35 thousand students participated last year in all the activities, which included individual and collective games, festivals, performances and sports training centers and fitness.
Ministry of Education Undersecretary for Resources and Services Affairs Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa and Undersecretary of the Education Ministry for education and Curriculum affairs Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al Mutawa were present.
