National Education Minister, Nouria Benghebrit, emphasized Sunday the importance of ethical compliance in the exercise of teaching to face the challenges and the stakes of the national education reform process.
Besides the streamlining of the national education sector by basing the school curricula, training and pedagogy, ethics "must be respected everyday in teaching," said Benghebrit at the opening of the national conference on the assessment of school reform, launched in 2003.
She has stressed the need for elaborating an ethics and deontology charter which will represent the daily working guide for the entire national education corporation.
Concerning the national conference on the assessment of school reform, which two-day day proceedings are taking place in the Mathematics High School, Benghebrit explained that it comes in a moment when "school reform needs a assessment and regulation of its system and its sub- systems."
Benghebrit said that the areas identified by field workers during the national consultation in 2013 are centered on compulsory education syllabuses, teacher training, school conditions and equal chances of success and modernization of education and administrative management.
About the purpose of the conference, to be held under eight (8) thematic workshops, the minister said it aims at "bringing together the experts of education sectors and partners to share disciplinary thinking."
