Minister of Higher Education el Sayyed Abdel Khaleq met on Wednesday with Italian Ambassador to Egypt Maurizio Massari.

During the meeting, Abdel Khaleq hailed the deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Italy in all fields, particularly in the educational and scientific domains.

The meeting discussed the establishment of the first Italian university in Egypt.

Massari, for his part, praised cooperation with Egypt in the scientific and research fields.

Abdel Khaleq invited the Italian ambassador to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Museum of Islamic Art, which was targeted earlier by terrorists.
