The Ministry of Education's Secretary General, Mohammad Okour, discussed with a Saudi educational delegation, ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of literacy and adult education.
During the meeting, Okour reviewed the programs and plans carried out jointly by the ministry and other national and international stakeholders in this regard.
The Saudi delegation expressed its keenness to benefit from the Jordanian experience and promote exchange of expertise, thus indicating that the adult education and literacy in Saudi Arabia are the focus of the political leadership there and have resulted in reducing the illiteracy rate in the Gulf Arab state.
The delegation, during its visit to the Kingdom, will hold meetings with education officials and also visit a number of adult education centers in the Kingdom.
